RACHEL COLLINS: TERRA FUSION DESIGNS

I have a home based glass art studio that is named for Terra (Goddess of the Earth) and Fusion (the process of mixing and forming to create something new).

In my art practice I explore the interactions of pattern, shape, geometry, and nature. My work is designed to invite the viewer into the experience and to pause to appreciate beauty.

I fell in love with glass in 2005 and began experimenting with this art medium. Glass is a beautiful material that I use to create one of a kind jewelry, plates, bowls, and wall art. Combining simple lines, complex detail, natural images, and the pure beauty of glass, allows me to create unique art inspired by nature.

I am a member of the Calgary Warm Glass Guild, the Alberta Craft Council, the Glass Art Association of Canada, and the Art Glass Society.
