★All fabric has been pre-washed but you will need to wash your diapers a few times before use for super absorbency.
★If you have a heavy wetter or for overnight protection you may consider using a doubler.
★Use a detergent that is dye and fragrance free and has no added fabric softeners. Stay away from detergents with lots of additives . Even Dreft leaves a film on your diapers. Film and oils can cause the diapers to become moisture repellent and leak! Never use fabric softener sheets!
★Remember to always wash your diapers every 1-3 days. You can store them in a wet pail, dry pail or like me I keep the soiled diapers in a wet bag and when it's laundry time I empty the diapers into the washer and wash the bag too. Make sure before you put your soiled diapers in a bag/pail to clean the messies off the best you can. A potty sprayer works great!
★Only use about 1/8 - 1/4 cup of detergent. I like to add a little vinegar or baking soda. It helps removes build up and kill germs.
1 Rinse or soak in cold water only - this will help with preventing stains and odors.
2 Wash with hot water at it's maximum capacity .
3 Extra rinse.
★To dry your diapers It's best to line dry but that's not always possible. I put mine in the sun (inside facing the sun) for 30 minutes or so then toss them in the dryer to get them nice and fluffy. The sun really is the best way to treat stains. It's easiest and fastest to just put them in the dryer until dry.
★Stripping your diapers is the best way to get rid of the build up of residue left by detergents. To strip do not use detergents and wash on the hottest and highest setting. I've even heard of some people boiling their diapers on the stove! Wash 1-3 times or until you don't see any suds in your diapers.
★These are just my guidelines that I have followed for years. There are so many different ways that people like to treat their cloth diapers so experiment and find out what works best for you!

Murphy's Law of Sewing
Fusible interfacings always fuse to the iron.
If you need six matching buttons, you will find five in your button box.
The seam you meant to rip out is invariably the other one.
When you are in a hurry, the needle eye is always too small.
The fabric you forgot to pre-shrink will always shrink the most.
The pattern you wanted to make again will have one key piece missing.
If you drop something out of your sewing basket, it will be your box of pins with the cover off.
Whenever the construction process is going well, the bobbin thread runs out.
The scissors cut easiest past the buttonhole.
The magnitude of the goof is in direct proportion to the cost of the fabric.
Your lost needle will be found by the person walking around barefoot.
Collar points don't match and you've trimmed all the seams.
The iron never scorches the garment until its final pressing.
The steam iron only burps rusty water on light silk fabric.
The sewing machine light usually burns out on Sunday.
Pinking shears get dull just by looking at them.
Gathering threads always break in the middle.
