Hello and thanks for stopping by.
So who am I? I've been asking myself that for many years. But seriously. I'm an old fashioned girl who loves to make personalized cards and gifts for friends and family. The commercialism of the Christmas season in particular has always bothered me. It always thrills me to see the look on someone’s face when they open a gift and know that it was made just for them; that there is no other like it anywhere and that you put thought, time and effort into their gift. I've been doing all kinds of crafts since I was 6 years old and so, I guess you could say, it's part of my soul. I can’t remember the last time I bought a gift or a card to give to friends or family. I always make them and they are always so appreciated that it drives me to do it again.
Last year, a friend asked me to make Christmas cards for her company and I jumped at the chance. I had a lot of fun making them and stretching my creative skills. Some of them are listed here for sale as I made a few too many last year. She has been trying to get me to sell to others since then and I’ve been really excited about doing it but scared to take the leap. Finally, circumstances pushed me to see if I could create a company out of my passion.
2 years ago, I started getting really bad headaches that debilitated me so much that I could no longer work. For months I couldn’t even turn to card making or any of my other crafts. But thanks to some wonderful doctors, I’ve managed to get myself back to a place where I’m functioning in society again. But I’m not back to work. I do enjoy being at home and not having to worry about punching the clock but I was getting bored. So, with a lot of encouragement from my friends and family, I decided to take the leap and see where I ended up. I’m back to creating and loving it.
The idea of being my own boss has always been fascinating. I’m a bit of a work-a-holic but would prefer to gain the rewards myself instead of working for a company. Isn’t that everyone’s dream? I am hoping that this will enable me to be my own boss and do what I love all the time.
There’s a plus side to all this. I’m hoping that one day, me and all those that make cards will be able to show Hallmark that mass produced, generic cards were once the fashion but that tastes have changed and we are moving back to a more personalized time. Hopefully, this will push them to step up their game and meet the growing demands of our generation.

Sincerly,
Louise
