Bio

Bijoux de Gateau is the creation of a young woman with lot of imagination and a taste for rich, bold feminine colors. I get a lot of my inspirations from movies like Marie Antoinette, Elizabeth, Devdas (an indian regal themed movie) and series like The Tudors. I must confess that regal themed movies, shows and books make my heart melt. Classical music and funky soundtracks also have a great effect on me as well as unique dresses or shoes that I cant get out of my mind - these usually inspire my pieces. Books are also very inspiring especially since I love getting lost in them and becoming the main character -- wasnt Pride and Prejudice just an amazing read?

The pieces I create I believe have close ties with me because they have a bit of my personality in them as well as people I wish I could be.

I think women are their sexiest when they can wear a very dramatic piece of Jewelry or accessory with as much ease and comfort as they can a sexy pair of Manolo Blahniks or Christian Louboutins. At least once in your life, I believe, you should wear something out of the ordinary to compliment a very ordinary piece of clothing.

Each piece created I know will be cherished especially because I make one of a kind jewelry that I would never reproduce 100 percent the same again. Unless otherwise said, items will be shipped in a velour burgundy jewlery box packaged very carefully.
