Bio

Hi I am Mauri Ann Keenan. I am also known on etsy a Dichroicdazzle I have had a store under that name for over a year. I have decided to split my Jewellery between two shops for a neater look and an easier shopping experience. Here you can find my silver, gemstone and enamel Jewellery and my Dichroicdazzle.etsy.com store will be devoted to my dichroic glass and millefiori work.

I am a mother of two. I live in a gorgeous rural village in County Roscommon in Ireland. I recently moved here from Birmingham in the United Kingdom to give my children a better childhood and quality of life.

I spend my days while the children are at school in my workshop/studio making jewellery using traditional metalworking techniques and fusing glass and enamel in my kilns. Some weekends I sell my work at craft fairs and a local indoor market.

I am a classically trained goldsmith. I attended the School of Jewellery and Silversmithing in the Birmingham Jewellery Quaters in the United Kingdom to acquire an advanced City and Guilds qualification. I worked for a small family manufacturer in the Quarters for over 16 years making 18ct Diamond rings and carrying out jewellery repairs until I took a break to care for my children. For me making jewellery is a passion that I could not completely give up.
