PaperAffection's Profile

Bio

Once upon a time there was a girl. She was very smart, but did not like to sit still. When she got her hair cut, she fidgeted. When she sat on the bus, she fidgeted. When she was in class she fidgeted. Because of this, she had crooked haircuts, annoyed people on the bus, and could not pay attention in class.

One day she learned how to take a piece of paper and make it into a bird. She did this over and over again, while getting hair cuts, on the bus, and especially in class. And she found that instead of fidgeting, she could sit still!

So she made more birds out of paper. And flowers. And stars and hearts and butterflies. And soon, she discovered that she had so many things made of paper that she had no idea what to do with them.

First, she gave them away. Her friends were happy to have such beautiful things, but paper was fragile. Then, she decided to keep them in boxes so she could play with them later. But then she had too many boxes. At last, she realized she could make something useful with her paper folding.

And she opened an Etsy store. :) The End.

A Note on Origami Jewelry:
While items are made of paper, they are quite durable. They will not tear because I use a gloss to harden the paper and makes it plastic-y. I’ve dropped items millions of times without worry. I’ve worn items on a rainy day and so far, so good! Your piece should last a long time. Do treat them with the same amount of care as other fine jewelry – don’t wear it swimming, on a roller coaster, or step on it and it should be fine. If you do run into cases where something goes wrong, do let me know and I will do my best to remedy it.
