Bio
My copper jewelry, bookmarks, and other gifts were inspired by my tree-hugging tendencies. Plants and animals (especially dragonflies) emerged as silhouettes and implied-line drawings cut into sheets of copper, and my fascination with texture put polishing aside to explore different ways to abrade the metal's surface to accomplish both simple and intricate designs.
I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2000 with a minor in art. While at Northeastern, I took several metalworking classes and was hooked! I live in Gurnee with my husband and two sons.
