Bio

I am a hapa (1/2 American 1/2 Japanese) and because of this I grew up on both cupcakes and daifuku. I loved both but really swayed towards the Japanese sweets (okashi). The only thing was the older I got the more I found it harder and harder to find those sweets in the US and when you did in some small section of the asian store, you never knew how fresh they were and the ingredient list showed many perservatives Id rather not have in my body.

Because of this I wanted to start Teahouse Confections, I wanted it to be a mix of traditional and some no so traditional takes. All treats will be baked fresh and preseravtive free. So I hope everyone enjoys them and hopefully it will be a welcome introduction for some to a different type of sweet.
