Bio

I’m a self-thought artist, born and raised here on the Big Island. Were I grew up with mentors who always instilled in me the value of truly known who I am, and believing in my self as a credible artist, as well as a woman who has the ability to achieve whatever I desire to do. I’m the daughter of two wonderful parents, the mother of two beautiful children, and the grandmother of a vibrant grandson. But most of all the partner and best friend of a wonderful man, who is also my greatest fan, my husband Reynaldo.

I love my life, because I’ve been truly blessed to do what I love to do. I can’t imagine a life with out my art. Besides raising my family, sometimes working for our family business, and working in our community as well as globally, with raising awareness for cultural issues and global healing, I still focus on my first love, my art.

Besides doing my art, I love to read historical and fantasy novels, as well as do historical research on cultural spiritualism. I also speak to people who come to visit me about cultural believes, initiations, and ceremony, in honor of my elders, both Native Hawaiian and Native American. In which you can see their influences in my newest work . My other interest are playing soccer, doing bead work , and going to Starbucks to hang out with my best friend.

In this moment, I'm doing lot's of beading, getting ready for my up and coming gallery showing at our local cultural center, and living my life loving my family. I'm also putting together a bead and wire art exhibition for next year. Well crossing my fingers and hope it happens. We shall see.
