Hi, welcome to PurplePigeon!

My name is Amanda Howling, and I am a Metalwork and Jewellery graduate. I make jewellery in my little purple shed at the bottom of my garden, not far from the Derbyshire countryside, from which i draw a lot of my inspiration.

I work mainly in silver, and like to create organic forms, so lot of my work is based on nature. I like to use small found objects such as shells, seeds, plants and feathers as a starting point for my designs, and also like to use amber and pearls.

Most of my works are one-off pieces, so there's no danger of someone else having the same thing. I prefer to work in this way, as recreating the same thing over and over would bore me to tears!
