Bio

When I was 16 I started my first handmade business. I made hats and sold them to friends. I quickly moved on to making clothes but got distracted by the music scene in Olympia, WA when I moved there in 1992. I didn't start up sewing again until around 1999 but it was in the form of upholstery.

I love vintage furniture and ended up teaching myself how to re-upholster furniture by making many mistakes but loving every minute of it. I started making vinyl bags, purses and leather goods as well and started selling them on the fantastic www.buyolympia.com under the name Basement Creations.

I was making handmade items full time and learning some great skills as well at a part time sewing job. But in 2002 fortune struck, my life changed and I met my future husband and moved to England soon after.

Now I live in a place I had never heard of before and love every minute of it. It's taken me a few years to get back up and running to my usual sewing self as moving to a different country can provide all sorts of challenges. Like getting a English drivers license!

I am a stay at home mom now and sew, grow veggies, make stuff and sell stuff. I have been doing this for many years but still love the process and challenge.

If your wondering about the name of my shop it's because that is the hours I feel like I end up doing due to being a mom, dog owner, gardener ect. Where does the time go?

Recent update here...been dx with Cancer of a rare kind. It has been a huge shock as I am only 36 but I had surgery and taking care of the rest naturally. My body will heal itself!
