Meet Oscar Parsons, the mind behind Foak.

If you can't tell from the photo, he's third generation hillbilly from the Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia. The son of a factory seamstress mother and musical craftsman father (who specialized in mother of pearl inlay and restoring ultralight airplanes), Oscar's skills draw from the spirit of the holler which he captures within his intricate design.

Foak fine leatherworking is currently based in Louisville, Kentucky, but Oscar's hands can be located anywhere and he will usually be found stitching something up for the locals as well as distant customers. He provides a 100% handmade product... that IS what you are looking for, right? and since he IS a hillbilly, he loves to paint all sorts of flora and fauna all over those bags. You will find a variety of bags, clutches, belts, bracelets, guitar straps.......... need a leather coaster? just ask Oscar!

Not to be a huge name-dropper, but current clients include Will Oldham, Natasha Gregson Wagner, Soolip stores and LOST'S William Mapother. His merchandise is in the collection of many of the who's who... including Tom Cruise, Mariska Hargitay and Colin Farrell.

The palette continues to grow, so get on the train, people.
