RoselynOriginals's Profile

Bio

After engaging in many handwork arts over the year, and enjoying them, I finally found my creative passion in designing and making jewelry. Jewerly design and creation has sparked a genuine passion and creativity unlike any other medium I've tried. This past year, beadwork stitching allowed my work to evolve into unexpected and interesting areas. I am fortunate in that I travel a good bit providing me with the opportunity to visit bead shops and gem show around the country, searching for interesting and unusual items to use in my creations. As a creative artist, I am dedicated to creating unusual, one-of-a-kind pieces of work that delight the wearer.

On a personal level, I am a social psychologist by education who studies violent offenders, a transplanted midwesterner by marriage, a dedicated reader of fiction, a darn good cook and baker, and devoted to my daughter and grandkids; my wonderful, loving dogs Ms. Wrinkles (9 yr. old Chinese Shar Pei) and Tazie (2 1/2 yr old white Bulldog who at 60 lbs. doesn't know she isn't a lap dog--in two days her name went from Elle to Tazie. You guessed: the Tazmainan Devil in a white energizer bunny suit. Good news is age and training have gotten most of the attitude and exuberance under control :-)), and my two 10 yr. old cats, Patches and TigerCat.

I am currently engaged in learning the art of beaded embroidery, lamp work beads and silver metal work because I am without a doubt a life-long learner. During the fall and spring months you will find my jewelry featured at various arts & craft shows.
