Bio

I have always been fascinated by what the earth provides us in the beauty of natural gemstones, stones and crystals. From a young age I've been a rock-hound. I started studying the properties and benefits of certain stones in earnest and began my jewelry business by designing semi-precious and precious gemstone prayer beads in the Anglican tradition. I then started making specialized jewelry for friends and family and they urged me toward opening my own shop.

My heart goes into my unique creations as I've always been drawn to working with gems and naturally occurring crystals. Each of my one-of-a-kind pieces is designed and hand strung by me; fine craftsmanship is my number one priority. I hunt for special treasures to use in my jewelry. I use .925 sterling silver, pure copper, 14 kt gold-filled, and 22 kt gold vermeil for my findings and accents.

I give credit to Robert Simmons, Naisha Ahsian, and Hazel Raven who wrote the book, The Book of Stones: Who They Are and What They Teach, which has been my primary reference guide and learning tool.
