Bio

I have always been creative, but never found something that I loved enough to stick with. Until I discovered quilting. I taught myself and soon discovered that I didn't like doing the conventional quilts or using other people's patterns.
I began designing and making my own patterns, also teaching.
Very quickly I discovered my passion; converting photographs that I take into quilted wall hangings. I also do many custom pieces for others, for instance, one of Steve McQueen on a beach under a palm tree, and Johhny Depp as Capt Jack, as well as doing family members.
Recently I have begun exploring other mediums, such as digital art, painting,and making ACEOs.
Having a son with Down Syndrome, another with Asperger's, a brother with Diabetes, a mother with Lung Cancer, a grandmother who died from Breast Cancer, I have also begun to try and find a way to help raise funding for these and other causes. I decided to make Awareness Angels,custom made angels, using awareness colors, a percentage of each goes to the cause they represent. This is a project that is very dear to my heart.
