JewelClark's Profile

Bio

I saw my first piece of jewelry that was art when I was 16 at the Kimball Art Museum in Fort Worth, TX. It was a small show of the jewelry of Rene Lalique and the Dragonfly Corsage was there. It was the most stunning object I'd ever seen and it was the first time I'd seen jewelry that contained symbolism, psychological depth and stunning craftsmanship. Right then and there, I knew what I wanted to do with my life- and I've been doing it almost non-stop ever since!

I have my BFA in metals and jewelry from the University of Texas at Austin and my MFA in metals and jewelry from the University of North Texas in Denton. If you would like to see more of my work or read more about me, please visit my website at www.jewelclark.com. I am currently only selling my work through Etsy so if you see anything you like at the website that hasn't made it here yet, let me know and I'll get it posted ASAP.

I have picked up a passion for the computer and for fiber arts over the years as well. If you'd like to see my digital photo art, please visit www.madmaud.etsy.com. Thanks!

And yes, Jewel really is my given name :-)
