Hi! We’re Marnie and Alex, and we’re pleased to meet you!

We’re based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dear Cheese grew out of the insatiable urges we both have to collect interesting materials that could someday be turned into something else. Marnie is always picking up bits of ribbon and lace and trim or fabric scraps from other people’s projects, and Alex has an ever-growing collection of interestingly shaped metal bits and the inner-workings of computers and machines. (You should see his heat sink collection!)

We’re finally putting our collection to good use! Marnie does the sewing, Alex takes the pictures and wields most of the power tools (though Marnie is practicing!) Together we’re Dear Cheese.
