Bio

I am Orianna, a full-time artist who loves her work. I have a bachelors degree in Fine Arts, but as far as clothing is concerned, I am basically an outsider artist. I treat clothing-construction as an art form, and think of my fashion shows as performance art (which makes sense, because many of my models come out dancing, doing crazy contortion moves, or interacting with each other in wordless skits). I have several years of experience in the art world, organizing and making clothing for these types of fashion events and selling artwork to private collectors worldwide. My life has been pretty random. I was Born January 22, 1982 in Wilrijk, Belgium and raised mostly in New Orleans and Tampa, but I move too often to really be "from" anywhere. I've been making artwork my entire life. When I was young, I had vast piles of "art supplies" in my bedroom (these "art supplies" consisted mostly of cardboard and random shiny things I found on the ground). My mom said it would attract rats and made me throw it all out. She was abnormally supportive of my creativity in other ways, however, and even allowed me to paint a large wall mural in my bedroom and sleep in a strange vampire-coffin-like nest I built in my closet. Later on in life, the first artwork that I started selling were weird voodoo dolls with awesome clothes, and I eventually started making the same outfits for humans. This randomly lead me to start doing fashion shows. Because I also have an intense love of painting (which was my concentration in college), this eventually merged with my fashion endeavors and I started creating "wearable paintings".
