Bio
Nita received her BFA from Webster University and her MFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University majoring in ceramics. She spent the past ten years moving away from clay and exploring mixed media installation art and ritual performance.
Nita’s installation art is concerned with the concept of sacred space, both as inner experience and outward expression. In her work she explores Eastern and Western magical practices, ritual, sacred geometry, mandalas, magical symbolism and patterns in nature. She has recently returned to her ceramic work with a new perspective on creating sacred space in everyday living by creating boldly colored sculptural, functional and useful ceramic objects.
