My name is Amy Lauren and I am from Middle Tennessee. I have always enjoyed homemade items, both making and receiving! Through the years, I have worked on sewing, crochet, cross-stitch, scrapbooking, card making, jewelry making, and many other miscellaneous craft projects. High atop my “some day” list is learning to knit and making a quilt. My passion for photography is most clearly evidenced in my shop.

I attribute my talent to Jesus Christ (and to the artsy genes from both sides of the family that He blessed me with). Jesus Christ has been my personal Lord and Savior for 17 years; and He is the best friend I could ever have. I am grateful for His work in my life.

The Story Behind the Alphabet Note-Cards:

Initially, the thought of making note-cards never crossed my mind. It all began rather ordinarily. One morning, I was waiting around at the barn for my sister to finish mucking stalls. I had my camera with me and was taking pictures of various things around the farm. I remembered having seen photos of alphabet letters (or items that formed letters and were sometimes not actual letters). So, just for fun, I decided to try it myself. I began with the letters of my name. When we left the barn that day, I had photographed all the letters to my name. Once I got home, I created a collage on my laptop with the photos I had taken. After that was accomplished, I really did not think much about it. After all, it was only a fun project to pass the time.

Several weeks later, I was trying to think of a unique birthday gift on a limited budget. It was then that I first thought of making note-cards. I made three card designs for my friend. The first, featured her name. The other two designs, “Thanks” and “Hello,” can be found in my shop. Only after seeing what a big hit the cards were at the party did I seriously consider making them to sell. So, I hope they are a big hit with you, as well, and that you’ll spread the word!
