Bio

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the Etsy world! My name is Emily. In a nutshell, I make new things out of old things.

With the exception of the occasional Gocco print, all disCARDS paper goods are one-of-a-kind - I tear the images directly from the books and once they're gone, they're gone. To me, that's part of the charm. Please note: though I often repurpose vintage children's books in my paper goods, my work is NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12.

Not content to stick with one thing, I also dabble in other crafts. Like my paper goods, disCARDS jewelry, accessories and button bouquets are bright, colorful, kitschy and loaded with retro charm. Everything I make features vintage or recycled elements.

I live with my husband and our two cats, Bettie & Stu, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When I'm not making things, I'm working in PR and fundraising at a small women's non-profit and scouring the thriftstores, yard sales and antique shops of the 'Burgh in search of vintage treasures to repurpose for disCARDS goodies.
