Bio

I am, first and foremost, a traveller. My inquisitive spirit and restless nature have taken me thousands of miles across numerous continents. Along the way I have endeavoured to capture images which do not simply indicate where I have been, but which translate into a defining moment of a place and its people. These moments may range from the exotic to the sublimely banal; my simple goal being that anything can be a photograph and anyone can be moved by a captured moment.

As a photographer, I point my lens at many things, but my favourite subjects are people. From cobblestone streets in some far off place to the portrait studio, capturing people in their everyday, in their moments of celebration, in all their diversity of expression—this is my specialty.

From my home base in Southern Manitoba I am continuing my evolution as a photographer while also working to capture images that highlight my love for the beauty of the Canadian Prairie. Although I am interested in pursuing the possibilities offered by modern digital photography, my primary medium will always be film and I have a passion for maintaining a hand in traditional photographic methods.
