What's my story?

I've been an artist my whole 28 years of life, it wasn't until my college years that I realized that I can draw and paint but 3-dimensional creation is what my mind can really grasp.

I just graduated in may with a BFA in metalsmithing and since that moment I've completely fallen in love with accessory design. It's not just like I really like to have handbags and shoes and hats, etc. I am just totally obsessed with figuring out how they are constructed. Like taking these objects that are mass produced and deconstructing them down into raw materials, bolts of fabrics, leathers, interfacing.

What's up with these bags?

Misses Fahrenheit is a new accessory company that works off of many concepts and designs, each bag is a one-of-a-kind in that it is created from fabrics that I have a limited supply of and patches that are vintage. Plus, I like for each bag to be a different variation of the pattern, I work off of a consistent pattern (which I designed) but alter the components to add to the unique functionality of each bag.

What's the big idea behind Misses Fahrenheit?

Well, I recently quit a job that made me very unhappy, my grandma past away, and I then realized I was completely broke. After experiencing a period of depression over where my life was going I realized that the only time I am happy is when I am creating and when I am in complete control over the direction each day takes. Therefore, I might as well start a company that involves creating objects that I am obsessed with and regain that feeling of enjoying my life's work. Misses Fahrenheit is such a positive and fulfilling experience and I can only hope that each item sold provides someone with a unique bag that they can enjoy and use for years.

Can I get a bag created just the way I want it?

Custom pieces are accepted, please drop me a convo and we can chat designs, fabrics, etc. Please note that custom pieces must be paid for at the time an order is placed through a reserved listing with your name on it, the piece will then be constructed with a two day turn-around.
