Bio

What does "hapa" mean?

It is Hawaiian for "half" and typically referred to people that have mixed ethnicity of Asian/Pacific Islander and Caucasian.

So, you guessed it, I'm a hapa girl with German, Dutch, Japanese, Chamorro (Guam folk) and Irish backgrounds. I was born and raised in Hawaii and obtained my degree in Art and Design from The University of Hawaii. I later moved to Austin, TX with my husband. My entire career has been working as a graphic designer in corporate America in Marketing Communications and Internet Marketing, but after the birth of my second baby I decided to be a stay-at-home Mom to Keanu and Kanoa who you can see as my baby models on many of my card designs.

I also design baby accessories such as baby blankets, quilts, and nursery pieces. See my other design business at http://www.jgdesigns.etsy.com and or read my blog at http://www.jennifergdesigns.blogspot.com
