Bio

towhee draws from the natural world, surrounding the remains of a historic strawberry farm, to create fiberworks, oil paintings and paper goods.

towhee has exhibited her art work in new york city, san francisco and cities throughout the pacific northwest. towhee's artwork has been featured as cover art on the university of washington's literary journal, the recipient of the annual eco-art award in antioch university's literary journal, and the frontispiece in Exhibition magazine.

knitting, botanical structure, birds, the vernacular landscape and environmental restoration have been themes of various gallery exhibits. i design my own photoshop brushes from photographs of plants and birds in my garden to make my avatar and banner.
