Bio

I started painting when I was very young. I also had a very early love of nature and science, and up until my second year of college I was determined to be a biologist.

In 2006, I completed a dual degree at the University of Connecticut, earning a BS in Physics and a BFA in Fine art with a concentration in painting and minor in art history. From 2006-2007 I did a year of graduate study in biology.

I was introduced to beading around the time of my graduation, and became thoroughly obsessed. The April 2009 issue of Bead and Button magazine contains my first published beadwork pattern, and the December issue will contain my second. My "Ceremonial Headdress" won third place in the "Objects and Accessories" category of Bead and Button's 2009 Bead Dreams competition.
