I have been on Etsy since some time in late 2007, in various incarnations, trying to find a good fit. First I had a photography shop under the name of cedarbluffproductions. Due mostly to my complete lack of advertising and marketing, I didn't sell anything and eventually got bored and tried my hand at jewelry-making. I loved it, so I opened the shop JunkMostWondrous (currently still in existence). Due in part to the saturation of that particular market here on Etsy, as well as my capricious nature, I grew bored with this after about a year and took up sewing. I then opened the shop SnuggleBirds, where I planned to sell cute little purses shaped like birds as well as plush birds and owls. Then the disaster known as CPSIA struck, and I decided to throw in the towel. Luckily I had not yet invested much time or money into SnuggleBirds. My love for sewing persisted, however, coupled with an obsession with birds. Additionally, I have always been a word person and tend to go through phases of fascination with various elements of language. I discovered the glorious randomness of collective animal names (a group of owls is called a parliament, for example). When I stumbled upon the fact that a group of nightingales is called an enchantment, the idea for my newest shop was born. I would sell adorable clutches, wristlets, pouches, and sundry other fabric-related items (for grownups) under the name An Enchantment... of Nightingales.
