I love glass, I've been working with it for years, my whole life in fact! I cut it, color it, fuse it, cool it, cut it again, add bits, fuse it again, finish it and then make it into jewelry, bowls, lights tiles, and even sculptures.
I am an English lady living in Spain with my beautiful daughter. We moved here 6 years ago. The light and colors are fantastic here, bright crisp and clear, a real inspiration.
My work is unique in that I like to push the boundaries of the process. Actually there on no real rules, as long as the end result is stable you can create anything (well almost!).
I believe in quality and creating things that last which is why I never use any glue. My pieces of jewelry have pure silver attachments that are fused into the glass when it is red hot, so nothing will come unstuck or break off (unless you throw it onto the ground in a temper, in which case it is your fault!)
I make the bowls and little lizard tiles with painstaking detail, but I won't tell you how I make them, it is a secret!
Because I am new to Etsy I am starting off by selling just the small things because they are easy to post, but watch this space for more exciting and bigger things!
Being new too, I don't have a lengthy 'shop policy' but give me time and I am sure I will.
Enjoy your browsing, I don't think you'll find anything like these pieces anywhere else unless you bought something from the popular Gibraltar Crystal Glass Blowing Center (in Gibraltar) in which case you might find something similar but not the same. I used to make all their jewelry, every piece was made by my fair hand.
I will take orders for color preferences or specific designs.
Each piece comes in a little box or pouch and has information about how it was made.
