Opensala finds its roots in ‘The Unity of Painters’ . We seek to combine and revive the creative spirit of the Renaissance with la culture du Café of the mid 1800s in Paris, where French revolution was inspired.

This unity took off in 2000, when Yos met Imanuel and Alberto while he lived in Barcelona.

Internet and computers are playing a tremendous roll in their projects. Their actual meeting was in their working; that made them closer.

In 2007 Yos met Wilfred Sarr in Santa Cruz, California and now in 2009 they have a functioning studio – headquarters for Opensala.

The growing need for an artist-owned and operated company has finally matured.

In Opensala, trying out universally advancing concepts, painter and web designer Joseph Tany and his artist friends, are freely co-creating both locally and cross-continentally.

Given that no one at Opensala is in actuality working or designing on line, no one knew how to handle an online shop but one, So all have given us their permissions.
