The Melange Mixed Media Artists Team on Etsy

Melange is a mixed media team for artists who sell on Etsy. We are a close knit group of members who share our art, tips and techniques, products, concerns and anything else that has to do with making and promoting our art. For purposes of the Melange Team we define mixed media as using at least two (2) mediums in each piece of work. The Melange Team is led by one or more volunteer leaders who are available by convo or email for questions and clarifications, and who act as liaisons with Etsy administration. New membership is always welcome and an exciting addition to our group. Any Etsy artist may apply to join the Melange Team by a written convo or email to the leader(s). Each application will be thoughtfully considered and answered in a timely manner. (Please note: Although we welcome all forms of artistic expression, lewd or sexually explicit works are not acceptable in this team.)

Melange Member Guidelines:

*All Melange Team members must maintain at least five (5) original mixed media art pieces in their Etsy shop at all times. If through sales their mixed media art pieces listed are less than five (5), a member must notify the Melange Team Leaders when their shop will again have five (5) pieces or more of mixed media artwork listed for sale. We understand that life often times throws a curve ball. If for some reason you must put your shop on hold, please let one of the Team Leaders know.

*All members of the Melange Team may use the tag "melange team" in the description of their original mixed media artwork listings. A member may also use the Melange avatar in their mixed media art listings. Prints, supplies and vintage listings in a member's shop should not be tagged with "melange team" , nor use the Melange avatar.

*Although working in a similar field, Melange is a group comprised of very diverse artists. Opinions and insights are an important aspect of our dynamic. However, we request that all participants treat each other an the entire Etsy community with dignity and respect differences in opinions, lifestyle, political and religious views, etc. Any Melange Team member who cannot abide by this request in any thread of the Etsy Fourms, Conversations, Team Blog or any site endorsed by the Team will be immediately removed from our membership. Flaming and/or abusive behavior will not be tolerated. Additionally, each Member is expected to abide by all Etsy TOUs and copyright/trademark laws.

*The Melange Team is a volunteer endeavor. The leaders and various members contribute a considerable amount of time and heart to our team, Team Blog, Flickr and Facebook accounts, forum thread, etc. We are always open to suggestions and volunteer contributions. We do ask that each member make a point to participate in any capacity that works for them, and encourage thread participation on at least a weekly basis. (The Mixed Media thread is started anew each week under the Techniques & Materials Forum and the current link updated on our Team Blog.) Your interactions are what make Melange such an informative and productive entity!

*Melange Etsy Shop: The Melange Etsy Shop (www.melangeteametsy.etsy.com) is maintained by a Melange Team Leader. Individual listings in the shops of current Melange Team members active in threads and challenges are posted and rotated in our Etsy shop. Members of the team are encouraged to post the Etsy Mini on their own blog.

*Melange Team Blog: The Melange Team Blog ( http://melangeonetsy.blogspot.com/) is maintained by the Team Leaders and lists the blogs of our team members. We ask that in order to be included in the listing of Team Member Blogs you have a reciprocal link on your blog. The Team Leaders welcome members to write articles or tutorials for the blog, to contact us when their art is published, have news items, or other information they would like to share. Our weekly Wednesday Challenge is open to everyone, including non-members, though we do host occasional Member Only challenges. These and all other giveaways, art swaps, etc. will be posted at the Team Blog.

*Other Social Networking: The Melange Team is also pursuing various social forums. We hold a Melange Team Flickr Group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/melangeonetsy), a Facebook Fan Page (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/Melange-Team-on-Etsy/158886545727) and have also introduced weekly Utube video presentations featuring a rotating selection of various Team Members which is shared on various forums. All Team Members are encouraged to submit and participate on these forums.
