Bio

My style of painting is representational. I am concentrating my skills in three distinct areas: wildlife, florals, children's figures/portraits.

My paintings reflect my life experiences, part memory, emotion, and a little fantasy. I usually paint from a collection of photographs using them as a reference point for color, shadow and shape.

My husband calls me the "goldfish" lady since I usually have a work in progress featuring a goldfish or I'm out in the backyard working on the pond.From goldfish to zinnias, I strive to bring a vision and a story to you about the subject of these paintings. The unsurpassed beauty of colorful water lilies, the glimmering iridescence of fish and reflections from the sky are the inspiration. In these representational paintings, I utilize traditional brushwork and incorporate knife work techniques to enhance texture which make them interesting and unique works.
