Bio

My name is Kara. I picked up a pretty rock in the yard a little while after I learned to walk, and now I have a whole room full.

I live in one of the prettiest places in the world: the Southern Appalachian Mountains in North Georgia. This is a great place for rocks. Every time I dig out a new garden bed, I find chunks of snow quartz as big as your head.

This is a great place for jewelry, too. When the view from your porch looks like something out of a postcard, it’s hard not to get inspired to make pretty things. I have a habit of naming my latest jewelry pieces after whatever I saw walking to the mailbox that day. That’s pretty much where I get my color ideas, too.

I’m lucky to live in such a wonderful place, and I only get to missing sidewalks every once in a while.

I’m a big fat organic gardening earth hippy type, and all my stuff comes from a smoke free, cat-and-dogful home.
