Designing and creating handcrafted jewelry brings me joy and is a great stress buster for me. As much as I have always delighted in creating handmade items, my career has been and still is in the corporate world. I am priveleged to work in a position which always keeps me on my toes and thinking. I use my analytical and leadership skills there, so it is so much fun to use my creative design skills to make this jewelry.

Creating beautiful handcrafted items has always been important to me. When my daughter introduced me to the fun of making beaded jewelry, I was surprised to find out how much I enjoyed it. My desire is to create jewelry that delights the eye and is a joy to wear. I also strive to make affordable jewelry that will provide years of pleasure.

The jewelry for sale in this shop, Filigree Romance, is inspired by vintage and Victorian designs. It is unabashedly feminine and nostalgic. These designs are made using antique brass, antique silver, copper, Czech glass, crystals,lucite, and other vintage beads.

You will see in some of my listings that I offer designs that incorporate beads that I have carefully rescued from older pieces of jewelry. I love to frequent estate sales and garage sales, and am always on the look-out for interesting beads in the jewelry for sale at these events. Whenever I use these older beads, I will clearly label that in my descriptions. All other beads and findings are new.
