Bio
Born and raised in a small town in the Midwest. Actually learned how to drive by drag racing on the runways of OHare airport. Yep, there was a time when there were no fences around it and the surrounding area was all farmland. Sweet memories of the past.
Have always loved working with my hands. Had to take a break to get married, have kids, do the divorce thing, move to CA and took a venture in the Hi-Tech world for 25 years. Even then always made time to make my own Christmas ornaments.
Tis glad I been there, done that and enjoy embracing the world of moving on to the passion of my heart for some years now. Always had my hand in crafting and hometown activities like scouts, get to kids sports games and organizing cookie exchanges, etc. Real people to people kind of stuff deep in my heart. Landed on a ranch and love it, where life is real, the people are real and I bring in my own wood to stay warm in the winter. A welcomed life where the area land is still used to grow food and animals graze. Life is good and the good Lord's great gifts are awesome to watch!
This internet stuff is all new to me. I'm used to the people to people contact. I'll have more of my work in stained glass on here soon. Most of my commissioned work and larger pieces go out the door and I do keep some work available for gift purchasing and take special requests all the time.
Have been teaching stained glass for five years and that is a wonderful passion to watch others grow through the experience. So many comments about the peace found in their lives as they enjoy this unlimited creative and almost lost art.
I do my own wood framing of my stained glass in solid Oak wood. The hangers are solid brass on the wood and placed on the sides not the top, for the safe hanging of stained glass artwork. Decorative brass chains for hanging the artwork is available.
