Bio

Ben started drawing at two, painting and collaging at four, and sewing, modeling and carving at seven. Since then it has been non-stop. Silkscreening, signpainting and building from a teen through (CMU) art school in Pittsburg. In Brooklyn in the early '80's, he rented a small brick warehouse in pre-gentry Williamsburg. After renovating this during the burgeoning graffitti/breakdance scene, Ben drifted naturally into muralling clubs and storefronts, and the surprisingly hip "wearble art" fad.
Jane is an equally compulsive creator. Featured in Highlights at age seven, and making paper dolls with elaborate wardrobes and sets well beyond the acceptable age limit, Jane probably had no choice but to study art. At college, she explored painting and graphic design. Over the years she has co-created 'zines, exhibited paintings, made jewelery, signpainted, sold at crafts fairs, and more.
By '88 Ben and Jane both landed in S.F., hooking up with collectives in the Lower Haight and in the Mission. In 1999 we started our little urban farm here in O'town foothills, where our garden and menagerie occupy us much of the time. And... did we mention, we keep bees?
