Bio

Carolyn Burgess Sellers is a little squirrel of a girl who adventures to thrift stores on her lunch break, hoping to find a vintage gem. It is the thrill of the hunt that excites her so, for she is a scavenger at heart. She often uses these found treasures such as vintage books, fabrics, found photos and doilies in her artwork.

Carolyn loves vintage imagery from children's and educational books...trees....graphic fabrics...vintage furniture...muted colors- especially shades of green. When she finds time, Carolyn creates her own crafty creations often using her thrifted treasures and altering them into something new. Whether it be in a sewn bag, a block printed card, collage, or a reupholstered vintage chair, she enjoys it all.

Inspirations come from...flea markets, junk stores, salvage yards, home depot, furry woodland creatures, log cabins and chalets, cuckoo clocks and best of all- grandma’s attic.
