* About Me:
Real estate appraiser by day, photo restoration owl by night, and some crafts and cooking in between, I live in a 100-year old house in the middle of the 2nd smallest state in the US with a husband who is left-handed and a font of trivial facts, as well as 2 cats and 2 dogs.

* How I started working with polymer clay and image transfers:
After living in NYC for several years, I moved back home to Delaware and got my degree in photography. Post-graduation, admist the shock of no longer having access to a top-of-the line darkroom, I discovered polymer clay and image transfers.

My most recent foray has been into image transfers and use of mixed media, as well as operating a photo restoration business, Second Impression Photo.

* About the transfer process:
My image transfer pendants are made with a time-honored technique in which the image is very delicately transferred by hand from paper to clay, which is then baked to harden. From there, each pendant is smoothed and shaped by hand, one by one, and then painted and adorned. Following all this, the pieces are varnished and cured, varnished and cured, again and again, until they have a lovely clear, protective coating. There is no paper, glue, or sticky transfer film involved in the end product. Your image (or mine!) becomes part of the clay itself.

Due to the nature of the process, no two transfers are exactly alike. Yes, like no two snowflakes are identical! Imperfections occur and should be embraced. I am not a factory, so I do not churn out mass-produced, identical, perfect products. If this is what you're after, that's up to you, but you will not find it here. I am a human, who creates with human hands, to the best of my ability, with love and care.

This process does take time and dedication, but to me it is worth it to provide the magic of renewing a memory. That's really what my work with jewelry and photo restoration is all about.

* About my stock:
Please check back often as I'll be putting more and more work up in the coming days, weeks, and months. I'm always up for a challenge, so if you are looking for something I haven't yet done, just ask!

* About s&h, and my general philosophy:
REDUCE, RE-USE, RECYCLE!
Whenever possible, I re-use materials for packing and shipping. I also encourage my buyers to re-use whatever they can, however they'd like.

Ordering a gift? If you are ordering a gift to be sent directly to the recipient, please let me know, and I'll make sure it's packaged up extra-pretty, and responsibly at the same time!
