Bio

"Vieux Rouet" means "Old Spinning Wheel". I have a very old flax wheel from Switzerland and a little Ashford Traveller from New Zealand. Both are working well. You guessed it: I love to spin, but also to knit, to dye fibers and yarns...
I live on a dairy farm in beautiful Québec, and the colors in nature around me inspire me for my handdyed yarns.

In summer 2006 I was diagnosed with a cancer, and during chemo, as so many others I lost my hair. I wasn't keen to have a wig, so I tried out all kinds of scarves, hats and caps. I really fell in love with cpecial hats from Germany: Andere Häkelmützen http://www.anderehaekelmuetzen.de.vu/ . I ordered one, and then I made some more for me. And now I would like to share some with customers here on Etsy!
