Bio

Deeply inspired by the Universe, the Goddess and the Faeries, Amy L Burns creates art that reflects and invokes a sense of divine connection. Her intention is to create art that inspires viewers, allowing them to connect more deeply with the infinite nature of the Universe, the power and loving strength of the Goddess, the playful and joyful nature of the Faeries, and their own divine truth.

Amy’s art includes both large- and small- scale creations. She’s rather fond of ephemera, recycling, and fancy papers, often incorporating these elements into smaller paintings and unique handcrafted items, such as, inspirational collage wallets, magical manifestation boxes, and illuminating light switch plates. She has also been creating with clay for over ten years. Many of her creations can be found in her Etsy.com store or on her personal website.

Originally from the Seattle area, Amy graduated high school while living in a transitional housing program for homeless youth. As the first member of her family to go to college, she graduated with two bachelors degrees from Washington State University.

After college, Amy worked in teen shelters in the Seattle area until moving to Boston in 2000, where she spent 4 years in the corporate world growing her business skills. In 2004, Amy delightfully became self-employed as an artist and life coach. In July 2006 Amy adventured out to California for two years and delightfully returned to the east coast to live in New York City in August 2008.

Amy’s work has shown in Boston, New York City, and San Diego.

All pieces shown are original artwork (except professional postcard prints and magnets of her original painting "Sun Rays").
