Greetings!!

Milosz Bears came to life in 2003 and continues to evolve in creating collector quality, artist made, mohair teddy bears. All bears are one-of-a-kind, unless otherwise stated, and are all created by me, Elaine Milosz. Each bear's body is made from the highest quality English or German mohair. They are fully jointed, stuffed with polyfil, polypellets and/or sand, have handblown glass eyes and perle cotton noses & mouths. Recently I've started experimenting with new techniques such as bee's waxed noses and shaded faces which are receiving positive results. Creative options are never ending and my hope is to experiment with as many of them as my resources will permit.

My bears are only available directly from me through the internet or through bear & doll shows and upscale art/craft show.

About myself... I started sewing around the age of ten years old. Like other artists I have a history of crafts that I have experienced, such as: pottery, lampwork bead making, upholstering, crocheting, knitting, fabric doll making, dress making, floral design, rug braiding, and so on... not to mention a few major home renovations including installing hardwood & tile floors, plumbing, painting, wall papering...

When I am not involved in some creative endeavor of my own I love admiring the works of other artists. I also enjoy gardening, antique shopping/flea marketing and I love to travel, especially the western USA.
