Bio

My name is Julie. I am the proprietor of The Glass Canvas Studio.
I've always "dabbled" in some form of craft or art project. My Mother was an elementary art teacher . I grew up surrounded by different mediums to dabble in ! I have had the opportunity to play with all types of art and craft projects through the years... painting on glassware has “stuck” with me...I can't stop!
I have been painting on glass for over 10 years. My hobby started as a part time business in 1998. I found a few local stores that would sell my
glassware on consignment . As the years went by, the company I worked for downsized, my full time position was eliminated. That led (forced ) me to expand the glass canvas studio to full time in 2002. I’ve gone from painting at a kitchen table to a studio that surrounds me in creativity. The studio is located in Franklin, Tennessee.

I am encircled by great friends that believe and support my addiction to painting on glass. They are quick to jump in and bail me out during those crazy times of the year. My Mother is the endorser of my adventure.I couldn’t do this without her. She answers the S.O.S call to help me...at least once a week !
I share the studio with our silly Pomeranian dogs, Brinkley and Cinny ( Cinnamon ), and our fabulous cat, Mr. Higgens.

Each piece of glassware is painted with my heart and soul.
