Hello :)

I am a person of Soviet heritage, Canadian citizenship, and American residence, happily married to and wildly in love with my husband Dan Connor (www.danconnor.com). I was born in Mississauga, Ontario and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I adore my homeland, but am starvingly curious about the rest of the world :)

I found myself in yarn and crochet hooks and am devoted to them. Currently I am refining my technique of finger crochet with laceweight yarns, but have ideas for shoes and fabric clothing - still incorporating much crochet!

When I am not crocheting I am enjoying sleep, preparing and eating healthy and delicious food and coffee, bicycling, reading and writing, tai chi, many other arts, and the company of my dear friends and family.

Sustainability is an important philosophy to me. I don't believe that beauty has to be fleeting :) Living a simple, sustainable lifestyle through good health, low environmental impact, educating not brainwashing myself, and carefully considering each decision I make enables me to do what others think is complex beyond attainability - make a living as an artist!
Actually, it's all to simple! Cut out the distractions!
Having good ideas and INCREDIBLE suppliers helps!! So I thank where ideas come from, and all the people putting so much effort into growing the plants and raising the animals that grace my crochet hooks.
