Bio

Hi! My name is Riin Gill, and I've been working with yarn and fiber for as long as I can remember. I spent my childhood doing needlepoint, embroidery, and crochet; I finally figured out how to knit when I was 19 or so. I started dyeing yarn soon after, and I've been spinning yarn on a Reeves castle wheel since 1991.

I realized that since I can spin way faster than I can knit, since I need to make more money, and since I like dyeing fiber and spinning yarn about 12 zillion times more than I like looking for a job...well, the conclusion was obvious once I thought of it. One day I just suddenly had a lightbulb over my head. A multi-colored, fuzzy, yarny lightbulb! And that was the birth of Happy Fuzzy Yarn. (You can see more items at http://www.happyfuzzyyarn.com/)

Knitting, spinning, and creating colorful yarn make me happy. I believe that human beings are meant to be creative. People are happy and healthy when they are creating. When people have no creative outlet, they suffer.
