The object is to transfer the pyramid from any starting peg to one of the two empty pegs following 2 rules, (1) Move only one disk at a time. (2) You can not place a larger disk on a smaller disk. Done correctly it takes exactly 31 moves. The first time I tried to solve it, it took me over 50 moves !!!

My favorite toy !! This is the first toy my Grandfather made for me when I was 6 years old - I am 88 now and I still love it !! Sit on the paddle and tap a rhythm and the man dances right along. Comes with instructions.

This is an adaptation of a very old toy - We tend to call it Appalachian, but it actually originated in Europe and Asia where almost all ethnic groups had their own version. It has many local names - Limberjack, Dancing Dan, etc. It is suitable for 6 year olds up to Great-grandparents.

I took picture #2 - as you can see, it shows that I am lousy photographer, but it does show the included paddle that the man dances on. The grain will vary, but picture #1 is a closeup of the man in action.
