Two Beautiful Vintage White Doily Doilies - One Silk

I am putting these two doilies together in a lot, because they are similar in appearance. The bigger of the two measures 8 inches wide. If I had my guess, I would say that it is silk. It has a few problems; several places the thread has started to fray. You could still use it, if you didn't mind this. The smaller of the two is made of a different material; maybe cotton? It measures 6 1/2 inches wide and is in much better shape. I can see no frays or stains on it. I washed them both, so they should be nice and 'fresh' when they arrive.

The only flaw I can find is that there is a chip off two of the flowers on her purse. This darling figurine would be the perfect gift, or addition to any shelf.

This beautiful wall hanging would make a wonderful decoration, especially if put in a nice frame. It is cotton, with embroidery. It features the the Angel's Salute to Mary, as well as images showing this. It measures 14 3/4 by 13 inches. It is in nice shape. There are 4 small holes at the corners, where it has been tacked to a wall. There are also 1 or 2 small stains (about the size of a pen point). There is also a little spot in the top right that looks like a little hole (once again, about the size of a pin point). This item would make a wonderful gift, as well as a great decoration for any room.

This adorable vintage bib would be darling on any baby doll, and even be cute on a real live baby, for a special occasion. From the tip to the top (where the strings attach) measures 7 inches long. It is also 5 inches wide with 5 inch strings. It is crocheted with white (I'm assuming cotton) thread with rows of pink around the outside. It is in great shape. It is very well crocheted and in good shape. I can find no flaws or stains on it. It looks like there is some fraying at the top where the strings attach, but I think that might be where they tied the thread off, when they were done making it. I washed and ironed it, so it will be nice and fresh when it arrives.

One set is wrapped up in the original box, and the other is just loose. They are in great shape. The only problem I can find is a petal missing from one of the swans not in the boxed set. This item just reminds me of something that would be in the kitchen of a little farm house here back in the 30s or 40s (and certainly it was!) We bought it at an estate sale this weekend. It measures around 20 by 15 inches. It's designed to have a hanger put in it, hung up, and used to hold clothespins (really a cute and useful item!) The clothes hanger shown in the picture is not included. This item is in good shape. I can't find any noticeable stains or tears on it. It's made of white and pink cotton, the pink cotton being a print that resembles lace. I washed it and ironed it, so it will be nice and fresh when it arrives. This charming little item is just ready to hang in your kitchen or laundry room and add a little bit of reminiscent whimsy to the scene.

Vintage Pink His Hers Guest Towel Set in Box

I absolutely love this little set! If I had a pink bathroom, I would have these in it now! This original set looks to me like its from the 50s or 60s. It features 3 towels: one 'HIS' towel and one 'HER' towel with a pink bamboo/jungle theme, and one small pink towel to match. I don't know quite how big these towel are, but I would assume they're relatively small (the size you'd put up next to the sink, for decoration or to dry your hands one). They are still in the original gift box, wrapped in clear plastic. The plastic is torn, but the towels have obviously never been taken out of the box (which is why I don't want to take them out to measure them). The box measures 19 by 14 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches deep. The seal around the small pink towel reads "Golden Crown - Quality Decorative Towels - Color Fast - 3 Guest Towels" and the writing on the back of the box reads "All Cotton Exclusive of Decoration - RN-22882 - Made in U.S.A." These towels are simply timeless! They would be the perfect gift for a newly-wed couple or anyone with a flair for vintage style!

They measure 8 1/2 inches long (but I assume they stretch). They are 100% nylon, labeled 'For home, for comfort everywhere, for travel." They are Milady's brand "Leisure Slippers." They are still in their original wrapper! They are dark blue, with bands of pink and white. These classic slippers would be just as toasty today as when they were made!

This beautiful piece measures 4 1/4 inches tall and 3 inches wide. It has a brown glaze, with black figures and handle. The bottom is stamped "(something I can't make out) Art Pottery - Czecko Slovakia". It is in nice shape. The top lip has three small chips (1/16" , 1/4" , 1/8" inch). There is also some dirt in the bottom of the pitcher. I didn't try washing it out, but I'm sure it'd come out easily.

Rain Original ACEO ATC size Sketches in Accordion Book

I tried something different with this ACEO. It is an accordion book with three pages, showing a narrative about a girl in the rain. This is drawn on a lightweight sketch paper with pen and ink and watercolor accents. This is 'bound' into an accordion book that folds out for display. The covers of the accordion book are a non-corrugated cardboard covered in brown paper. Each page, and the book folded together, measure 2.5 by 3.5 inches, the same size as a baseball card and perfect for trading or displaying. This ACEO will be mailed you via USPS First Class mail, in an envelope with a plastic sleeve and enough cardboard to keep it safe on its way to you.

My name is Madeline and I am an art student at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. I am a Junior studying art with a specialization in glass. I've always enjoyed painting, and try to make time for it, as much as possible. I love doing ACEOs, and I especially love trying new styles and coming up with new ideas. I mostly paint in watercolor. (I'm taking an oil painting class this semester, and must admit, I'm a little intimidated!) I've had my work displayed in several galleries around campus, and was even lucky enough to have an ACEO and a painting in a similar style to those I sell on E-bay displayed in a juried art show last spring.

Vintage 50s McCoy Green Ceramic Planter

This fabulous little planter is McCoy. I'm not sure how old it is, because I couldn't find it in the book. If I had to guess, I'd say 50s. I must admit, it would be darling on a window sill with with some little spring seedlings in it! It's 7 1/4 inches long, 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches tall. It has a nice green glaze. The bottom is stamped "McCoy" (see photos), and for some reason has some numbers written on it in permanent marker. It's in great shape. There are no nicks, scrapes or dings on it that I can find. The bottom (where the little square ridge of unglazed pottery is) looks like it might have been scraped on something. Also, it needs to be cleaned. The bottom has a little bit of a build up in it, that appears to be wax. It would be a wonderful addition to any window garden!

Vintage White Scarf with Rhinestones and Roses

This classic scarf is just beautiful! It's the only one I've ever seen that has rhinestones on it! It is made of some sort of synthetic fabric. It measures 24 inches long and 11 inches wide. It's the perfect size to wear with a jacket, and tuck the ends into the collar. The bottom half of the scarf features sewn-on rhinestones and faux pearls that fade out towards the middle. It is in good shape. There are 1 or 2 tiny stains, and a little bit of discoloration on the bottom right corner. It looks like maybe where red wine or something has been spilled on it, and a little of it didn't wash out all the way. (I tried to take a picture of it, but it didn't show up too much.)

Each of these enchanting figurines measures around 6 inches tall and 2 to 3 inches wide. They are Homco brand painted ceramic/porcelain. The bottoms feature a sticker that reads "Homco, Made in Taiwain". One wears a pink robe and plays a horn and the other wears an orange robe and plays a violin (or a fiddle, you choose). I love this little item, even though I'm not 100% sure what it is. My mother says it might be a decorative dish towel, but if I were using it, I'd probably use it to cover a dresser or small table. Anyway, this item is most likely cotton and has a pink tatted edge. Each of the four corners has an embroidered pink and green clover (each corner a little different design). I don't know if the colors have faded or if they're supposed to be pale. Either way, this items has some lovely colors on it. It measures 17 inches by 16 inches. It has been washed and ironed.

This is such a cute planter! Just imagine your beautiful healthy house plant growing out of a ceramic log! How cute! This planter is McCoy, and according to the book I have, it's from 1955. It's 5 inches wide and 4 inches tall. It has a nice green glaze that has a little bit of crazing, but no problems I can spot. It's been used and taken care of. There is a little ring of either dirt or mineral deposit on the top of the inside (not that it would show once you have something planted in it). The back has the McCoy logo and the front has a romantic inscription and some camping gear on it. Just sit this little planter in your picture window and watch it delight your guests!

When it comes to cheap novelty buttons, this has always been one of my favorites! I bought it, with some others, in an antique store years ago. It's a guitar shaped "Police" pin. It's made out of some kind of cheap metal/plastic/resin combination. It's in good shape for its age. The pin part of the back is a little bent (a relatively easy fix) and the front is a little scuffed (just from rolling around in a jar with other metal buttons for so long). It measures 1 1/2 inches long and 1/2 an inch wide. It's a really cool little piece though, and a must have for any Police fan!

2 Anchor Hocking Royal Ruby Red Glasses Tumbler Vintage

These two Anchor Hocking Royal Ruby glasses are just begging for a new home! They're a deep red color and strikingly elegant! The larger one measures a hint under 6 inches tall and about 2 1/2 inches wide (at it's widest part). The smaller one measures 5 inches tall and a little under 2 1/2 inches wide (at it's widest part). These glasses have no markings or labels and are in wonderful shape! The only flaw I could find on either of the glasses is a small scratch (about as long and wide as an eyelash) on the bigger one. Most likely no one will ever notice this small of a scratch. These glasses would make a marvelous addition to anyone's kitchen!

I found these towels at a rummage sale this weekend and I just love them! I decided I'd buy them, wash them and iron them, and offer them up on E-bay so someone with groovy kitchen could buy them and give them a new life! Both of these Malanorino brand Linen towels have a definite 50s look to them. They're not very faded at all (considering their age) and have been used only enough that they're soft and 'broken in.' I could find no stains or discoloration on either other of these towels. They measure about 26 by 16 inches. They would be the perfect addition to any groovy kitchen!

You don't have to have been to Ontario to appreciate how beautiful this decorative plate is (although, I'm sure it would help!) I found this goodie at a rummage sale this weekend. It's a petite china plate 4 1/4 inches wide and about 3/4s of an inch deep. It has a printed image of Windsor Ontario and reads "Souvenir of Windsor, Ont. - Ambassador Bridge". The edges of the plate are gold colored and the back features a the name of the manufacturer, reading "Bavaria - Schumann - Germany." It is in great shape! I don't notice any cracking or nicks. This would be the perfect little accent when hung on a wall, or put on display in the china cabinet.

This delicate, beautiful vase is Ucagco brand (made in Japan). It measures a little under 6 inches high and is 2 inches wide. It is a white ceramic, with a painted rose on the front, and a reflective silver-y trim and leaves. It is in great shape! I can't find any cracks or nicks. There is a little dirt inside, on the bottom, but nothing that wouldn't wash out really easily. This little gem would be beautiful sitting on any dresser or mantle!

The decal looks great and there are no nicks or dings that I can find. There is a gray scuff mark that runs along the front upper lip (you can see this in the pictures). I'm no expert on Lobster Sets, but I picked this one up this morning, because I liked the way it looked. I'm geussing its from either the 60s or 70s. It's in a cute vintage box, and has 5 pieces. One big one for cracking, and 4 small ones for picking. All are stainless, made in Japan, and have wooden handles. They have been used, I'm sure, but are in nice shape. You'll want to clean them before you use them (of course), but they should make a great addition to your kitchen!

All of the illustrations I drew up for this project are based on garments from this era. I looked through magazines, clothing catalogues and plates from the era to get a real 'feel' for the fashion of the era. Marjorie also sports a trendy 20's bob haircut. I have now, and will be adding in the future, other paper dolls in shop. All of my paper dolls share basically the same figure, so they can share clothing for even more fun!

This CD is the portal to your own world, where you control the life of your own paper alter ego! To access this world, simply pop this CD in your computer’s CD drive. Use whichever program you prefer to print out Marjorie and her wardrobe. All images on this CD are saved the same size, as both BMPs and JPGs and also with and without tabs. To assemble your paper doll, simply cut her out and wedge the two pieces of the base together, over the two middle slits. Now your paper doll should be able to stand on her own. Now, simply cut out the clothing along the outlines (including tabs) and apply them to the doll by folding the tabs over her.
