Not hardly as gothic as an Edgar Allen Poe poem, this Raven is waiting to fly away to a new studio.

My inspiration for these whimsical birds was to create a folky looking bead that seemed like it was plucked from a long neglected garden. Wear them as a little reminder to let your creativity take flight.

Each urchin is handcrafted and distressed, no two are alike. They range in size from 25-30mm across and 7-8mm thick. (That is an 1" - 1 1/4" wide.) Inspired by one of my favorite summer reads, Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine. It's said that dandelion wine packs all of the joy of summer into a single bottle. Wouldn't that be nice, bottled summer for whenever we needed it?

This an interesting mix of textures. A green/white stone looking background reveals a glass-like yellow base. The yellow is buffed to a high shine.

An ode to the forest in pearls, brass and clay!

This very unique necklace features a pendant using my branch art bead in teal with 3 bead pods of brass filled with tiny pearls. Below swings a leaf, frame and bird in brass. The necklace is created with keishe pearls in chocolate brown and cream. A swirl hook clasp finishes the desgin. This is a one-of-a-kind design.

My inspiration for these whimsical birds was to create a folky looking bead that seemed like it was plucked from a long neglected garden. Wear them as a little reminder to let your creativity take flight.
