japanese handmade stamp block - make your own stamps - post card size

this is a set of three rubber stamp blocks.
it is a same texture with an eraser but it is harder and easier to cut or stamp on a paper as well as the size is designed for the use of stamping.

you can cut into a size you wish to make your own stamp!
the rubber itself is one big block!

there is a few tips to use this product for making your own stamps.
as this is same texture with an eraser so please keep blocks in the plastic bad or somethere safe and do not leave it on the table or anywhere warmer to avoid dust or stucking to other things.

you can trace your design easily using a tracing paper and a 2B, 4B pencil. cut the outline of traced lines...hold the knife 45 degrees outward...

stamp nicely to keep its shape and avoid damaging the base.

(oh, well, it is really hard for me to explain in english so i leave it for someone else. there will be photos of instruction in japanese handmade stamp books!!!check! check!!)

why?
all designs are in japanese style, japanese retro style, or something very familiar to me.
so i think it can be culturally interesting for many of you to make some stamp patterns in japanese style.

Japanese handmade rubber stamp block

This is one of the best stamp blocks if you had a trouble carving a soft stamp block before. I previously carried another one which all made of same white rubber. However, this new released one is better if you are worried to carve too deep or have a difficulty of finding pencil-traced lines.
As you can see in one of photos, this block is consisted of two layers of different rubbers. The white one is softer so it is easier to carve, the other black layer is actually harder rubber so it tells you how deeply you are carving. Meanwhile, it gives strength to your handmade stamps as products.

this rubber stamp block is used for my other shop as a stamp!

this is for you who want to make a hat by yourself using basic sewing tools you may have in your house.

this book is professionally done even though it says first hat making. as this writer is a profesional hat designer. all the detail of each hat has its own character and it makes people happy to make and wear for sure!

first, this book teaches you three different basic shape of cloche with a black and photo and step-by-step instructions in the beginning of instruction pages. then, other hats introduced in this book is their advanced shapes and designs.

it will teach you how to sew a kimono with your favourite western style fabric!!!!!

in this book, it teaches you two basic things.
sewing a kimono.
sewing a obi. a special belt for kimono.

this is not traditional.
very contamporary kimono instructions.
there are no other projects.

all you have to do is to pick your favourite fabrics and start!
as you may not know, japanese kimonos are made from the same pattern. there are some designed patterns but the pattern introduced is what is called kimono in general.
the obi is causual one that made from two separate pieces. usually, it comes as one piece of long sheet but it is not easy to tie so they are two pieces to make it easier to wear.
for many of you here may not wear kimonos everyday, however, it will be good to try for special occasion, halloween? or they can be a room wear.

there are lots of modern, contemporary ways of wearing kimonos using something familiar even in western cultures.
there are no patterns for little items. this book is purely introducing how to make a kimono and a obi. there are some instructions in the end of the book to let you know how to wear it, though.
