Feegee Mermaid paper doll, circus side show 14 inches tall

This doll is a high quality copy of a design that I did for a circus side show set. She is loosely based on the concept of P.T. Barnum's Feegee Mermaid a famous sideshow fake. She is a lovely striking green with spectacular pink tentacle hair.

The original drawing was done in marker. This copy will come to you assembled as shown. The doll is two layers of heavy weight paper sandwiched together for extra strength. There is a paper loop on the back which allows here to be hung on a hook or hung from a ribbon. She is attached with 7 brads so there is plenty of movement.

Meet the lovely lady who preforms at the circus, maybe she is lion tamer or maybe she is a tightrope walker. Her lovely jacket is made from a glitter embossed red paper that matches her striking harlequin tights.

Each of these dolls is one of a kind. The head and hands and feet are hand colored with a mixture of watercolors and markers. Each doll is a minimum of two layers of heavy weight paper thick, with some portions of the body being 3 and 4 layers of paper depending on the dress style. The middle paper is bristol plate and the backing paper is a black artgain paper. Each doll is assembled with multiple brads for movement. Each doll has a paper loop on the back that can be hung on a hook or have a ribbon strung through it for hanging purposes.

These are one of a kind, I will not be making exact copies of these designs.

This is an original paper doll of a figure skater in a lovely pale blue dress. The dress is made out of a flocked paper so the pattern is fuzzy to the touch. The sleeves and tights are made with a glitter embossed paper that gives her a real sparkle when she jumps. This doll is an impressive 14 inches tall,.

Big Blue Tiki face 12 inch x12 inch painting acrylic on canvas

I'm a big fan of tiki and have done several tiki painting over the year. This is a large tiki face done on a 12"x12" canvas with acrylic. It is an original painting.

The background colors are a deep chocolate brown while the details are picked out in shades of blue an purple. HE's sticking out his nicely tattooed tongue.

The piece has a wire for hanging as is. He would look great hanging over a doorway.

Here is some of my newest work. I carefully took apart an old, beat up biology text book and have started crafting individual creatures out of the pages. Not quite origami but similar in feel. Each of these insects is created from the invertebrates and insect chapters of the book so you can see some of the content.

Each insect is unique and carefully mounted into a museum Riker mount. The background papers are unique and handmade.
There is a ribbon mounted to the box so that the book bug can be hung, or it will fold tightly away so you can present your insect free standing.

This is one of the smaller insects, mounted into
a 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" riker box. This ant is mounted against orange fiber paper.

These are very fun creatures and would make a good gift for an insect, biology, or book arts fan.

This is one of the larger insects. This large moth is crafted from both word pages and image pages from the biology test book. It includes a lovely set of luna moth wings and great big fuzzy antenna. The background is a lovely autumn colored marbled paper.

They are a 6"x6" canvas board that has been painted on and then an original child sketch done in marker is attached to the surface in a very collage like style. The cut out elements give the piece a little extra depth, which works well with the soul-less eyes. And for a little sparkle each piece has some highlights done in gold leaf (which doesn't show up well in the scan). The pieces are not framed so you can choose your own method of display.

This is Charlie. Something of a trouble maker, he tends to get into fights. He has lost more body parts that way, fortunately they always seem to grow back. Charlie's favorite food is chocolate.

So adopt one of my unusual offspring today.

3 Tiki zine set, Olympics and Zoo visit

Here is you chance to own a little Tiki silliness. Included here are 3 small scale zines that I have drawn over the years. They are the size of a 1/4 sheet of paper (4 1/4 x 5 1/2). These are not ment to be serious pieces of literature, or advanced printing technique. They are simply silly little photo copied books.

The Tiki Olympiad - a tribute to the summer Olympic games. Which answers the question, "How does a tiki ride a horse", and "Are tikis any good at beach volleyball?"
