This earflap hat is made with two different yarns throughout. One is a fabulously soft all acrylic yarn, and the other is a 76.5% Acrylic - 10.5% Wool - 10.5% Mohair - 2.5% Polyester soft and fuzzy yarn. Then I added a little bit of a multi-colored yarn to the fringe just for a little pizazz. This hat is soft and thick and really cute.

This pattern has been tested and every effort has been made to ensure its accuracy. Hat is crocheted with 2 strands of WW yarn. I have made this hat with acrylic, cotton and cotton/acrylic blends. You will need less than 340 yds and size J and L hooks. I will email you a pdf of the pattern as well as a link to a video showing how to do the one more complicated stitch. I would say that this is an advanced beginner project and should take approximately 2 hours to complete the first time. I have sold many of these hats on Etsy and in person. It is a very popular style here in NYC and apparently all over. I will be more than happy to help you via email or conversation if help is needed.

Okay, so what I did in this hat was really tricky. Not sure if you can see it so much in the pictures but I used two strands of different colored pink yarn for the bulk of the hat, then did the ridges and the edging in the darker of the two pinks. This is very hard to do in crochet, which is why this hat is a bit more money. I'm incredibly proud of it and I hope that someone will appreciate the work that went into it. One size will fit most. Making jewelry wasn't that big a leap since the jewelry is crocheted. That's right. This gorgeous necklace is made with tarnish-resistant craft wire and the beads are crocheted onto the wire. Here we have jasper, Austrian Opal, Rhodocrosite and some miscellaneous beads. A silver-tone clasp finishes it off.
