A bright, tropical, kinda fruity-tomato-y, maybe red coral-like... very, berry RED!
(the actual yarn colors are garnet, raspberry, and a pink coral)

Mostly merino wool with a bit of silk for lustre. A warm coverup for winter and perfect for an evening stroll in the summer. Shawls can be draped in a variety of ways... don't forget it can double as a giant scarf.

silk cashmere lace

This is one of three lightweight scarves I made recently using my own variations on an old swedish lace weave. Each has been hand-dyed after weaving to pastel shades. This one is a light cornflower blue. The yarn is mostly silk but is blended with just enough high quality cashmere to give it a luxurious touch and drape.

80% silk / 20% cashmere
10.5" x 64" plus 1" loose fringe, 3 oz.
Handwash or Dry Clean.

Hand-dyed earthtones of chestnut, golden ochre, and straw are woven in a loose crepe weave for a soft pebble-like texture.

Natural tan camel on a warp of espresso brown silk creates a warm, earthy look to this understated execution of a complex, kaleidoscopic pattern of my own design. On the softness scale, camel is very similar to a top quality merino wool (about 18 microns). This would also be a good choice as a man's dress scarf.

Silk yak scarf

The more I use this silk/yak yarn, the more I like it. It is such a warm, earthy shade of grey-brown.

Natural taupe yak down blended with silk on a warp of black silk. Softness is almost that of a fine cashmere. At only 2.8 ounces, it has a very light airy drape. The angular texture and conservative color makes this a great choice for a man's dress scarf.

75% silk / 25% yak

A pure white cashmere is woven in an open crepe weave with 2 shades of blue, hand-dyed, cashmere/silk blend yarns. The resulting soft texture is a bit reminiscent of classic Delft pottery.

A lightweight scarf but the generous amount of cashmere may make it a little too warm for the summer months.

The neutral color, smaller size, and subtle design of this scarf makes it a great choice for a man's dress scarf. It is, of course, also appropriate for a lady. Chestnut brown hand-dyed cashmere/silk blend woven onto a warp of light taupe silk. The design is a complex yet subtle twill block pattern of my own creation. A short 3/4 inch loose fringe secured with a hand hemstitch completes the look. Very lightweight at only 2.4 ounces yet warm when worn under a topcoat.

90% silk / 10% cashmere

This handwoven shawl appears rather monochromatic but actually has a subtle varigated blush of "apricot" silk in a natural off-white merino base. It is embellished on each end with a filigree of handworked trellis hemstitching. Extra long at 86 inches. Can be worn as an elegant shawl, an everyday smock, or as a very large scarf. Merino wool and merino/silk blend yarns.
